Frensham Ponds

Situated between Farnham and Hindhead are Frensham Ponds (Great Pond and Little Pond).

The ponds were created in the 13th century to supply fish to the Bishop of Winchester and his court whilst visiting Farnham Castle.

Frensham Great Pond is a Green Flag Award winning site, and whilst some distance away from the sea, has a sandy beach that’s popular with swimmers and sunbathers.
