One of the most intersting trails I have ever walked.
About half way back to rejoining the Green trail.
Catching up other walkers. Green trail joins from the left.
Another Green trail path joining from the left.
Start of the steady climb back to the visitor center.
Visitor center coming into view.
We’ll take a short 3 minute walk to the right to the Mirador De Las Ventanillas (viewing point).
Arriving at the Mirador De Las Ventanillas. Walk to the end to experience the view. Looking South towards Malaga.
Time to return to the visitor center for some refreshments and a rest.
Access to the “Torcal Alto Visitor Center” is free . The center has an interpretive area, multipurpose room, guide service, observatory, souvenir shop, restaurant, toilets and parking.
Opening hours (every day of the week):
- 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (November to March)
- 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (April to October)
Closed: December 25, January 1 and 6.
El Torcal is a very unique and beautiful place to visit and I would recommend it highly. Taking the Yellow trail makes for a great half day visit. The Green trail is shorter if you are tight for time.
